FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. — A New York woman has been arrested on a prostitution charge following an undercover operation by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO).

Investigators said 30-year-old Suping Wu of Flushing, New York, was taken into custody Thursday at Classy Spa/New Magnolia Health Spa, located at 8 Racetrack Road near Fort Walton Beach.

According to the OCSO, an undercover investigator entered the business on October 9 and requested a massage. He was taken to a private room where Ms Wu allegedly offered sex in exchange for $300.

The OCSO said the arrest followed multiple complaints and tips to Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers regarding possible prostitution activity at the location.

Investigators noted that prostitution businesses can contribute to human trafficking, become breeding grounds for other crimes, negatively affect neighborhoods, exploit vulnerable individuals, and spread sexually transmitted diseases.
