DeMeo sits atop the list of over 300 junior college coaches based on his wealth of experience at both the two-year and four-year levels.

Northwest Florida State College Men’s Basketball Head Coach Steve DeMeo has been named the number one coach in junior college by Basketball Times. The rankings were announced in the September issue of the magazine and based on consultation with two-year and four-year coaches across the country.

“Basketball Times is a publication that I grew up on so to be recognized by them is truly an honor,” said DeMeo.  “As we all know, basketball is a team sport, and I’ve been fortunate to have incredible support from my Athletic Director Ramsey Ross, our President Dr. Devin Stephenson and an infrastructure that is the best in the country. That list is filled with incredible coaches and even better people so any of them would be worthy of the top spot.”
