According to the NPD, the initiative aims to reduce traffic accidents and improve road safety for motorists in Niceville.

The crackdown on speeders and aggressive drivers will run for three days, from Wednesday to Friday. During this period, law enforcement will increase patrols and enforcement efforts along a specific stretch of State Road 20 between Rocky Bayou Drive and Government Avenue.

The increased enforcement will be effective from 1 pm to 5 pm daily.

By working together, the NPD and the community can create a safer and more secure environment for everyone who uses Niceville’s roadways.

Here’s what you can do to help:

  • Obey posted speed limits: This is the simplest and most effective way to ensure safety on the roads
  • Practice patience: Avoid aggressive driving behaviors like tailgating or weaving through traffic
  • Report dangerous driving: If you witness reckless driving, report it to the Niceville Police Department immediately
