NICEVILLE, Fla. – Tori Mason, School Resource Officer at Niceville High School, has been named Okaloosa County School District’s 2021 SRO of the Year.
“Deputy Mason has a giving heart, helping students navigate struggles at home and in the classroom. She loves her job and her passion for students’ safety is impossible to miss,” said Marcus Chambers, Superintendent of Schools.
“Deputy Mason is outstanding working with students, parents and staff and we are lucky she is on our team.” said Charlie Marello, Principal of Niceville High School.

Mason is a deputy with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office. She began her career as an investigator for Child and Family Services but realized her true calling was in law enforcement.
“We are fortunate that she made the transition because she is a positive influence in our students’ lives,” said Chambers.
Chambers said he was appreciative of Okaloosa County Sheriff Eric Aden and his agency’s nationally recognized School Resource Officer program.
“Deputy Mason represents them well and we are blessed to have her in our schools!”
