Niceville community redevelopment workshop

Niceville has been named as one of the nation's most affordable places to live, Niceville FL

(Niceville, FL) – The public is invited to participate in a workshop and offer ideas and input on the Niceville community redevelopment area. The workshop will be held on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, 5:30 p.m., at Niceville City Hall.

The Niceville community redevelopment area, which was established in 2012, is approximately 340 acres in size. It largely includes the Old Settlement of the City of Niceville located on Boggy Bayou, State Road 20 area from Niceville High School to State Road 85, and State Road 85 to Niceville’s western city limits.

Proposed projects include the building of a landing and walkway in Niceville’s historic downtown area, a crosswalk connecting the Turkey Creek recreation area with historic downtown, a Turkey Creek amphitheater, tennis courts at Turkey Creek, and enhancing streetscapes on John Sims Parkway and throughout the redevelopment area.

Niceville City Hall is located at 208 N. Partin Drive.
