The museum’s new Little Free Library (LFL) was a special project by Boy Scout Adam Klamerus, a recent graduate of Niceville High School where he was a football student-athlete. Adam spent his summer designing, constructing and successfully installing the new LFL as part of his requirements to rank as an Eagle Scout.

Additional projects for the Museum included a customized bookshelf for the research library as well as a brochure rack for the gift shop.

About 60 people attended the LFL opening and ribbon cutting.  Guests enjoyed light refreshments, a book exchange, DIY bookmark station and story time with Angela Yuriko-Smith, local author of “The Literary Lizard”.  Members of “Okaloosa Rocks” also joined the celebration helping children paint kindness rocks for sharing throughout the community.
