This special exhibit, sponsored by the Choctawhatchee Bay Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), will showcase this living document and highlight some of the many stories of Revolutionary War patriots from Okaloosa County who fought for the freedoms we enjoy today.

The United States Constitution is coming to the Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida during the month of September to promote awareness of Constitution Week, September 17 – 23 which begins on “Citizens Day,” the actual day the document was signed in 1787.

This special exhibit, sponsored by the Choctawhatchee Bay Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), will showcase this living document and highlight some of the many stories of Revolutionary War patriots from Okaloosa County who fought for the freedoms we enjoy today.

In addition, the display will commemorate the 230th anniversary of the ratification of the Constitution, the oldest constitution still in active use in the world and the very foundation of our Republic.  You may view this amazing collection during museum business hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday at 115 Westview Avenue in Valparaiso.

Come see this historic display, study the Constitution and remember to fly your flag to show your patriotism during Constitution Week!
