Museum announces tours for home school students

Night Out at the Museum

The Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida now offers tours for Home School students once per quarter during the school year.  Each tour focuses on a different topic related to Northwest Florida history, includes a hands-on activity reinforcing the lesson, and meets the Florida standards for education for grades kindergarten through 6th grade.

Home school families must register their students in advance.  Limited space is available.  No walk-ins please.

August 16, 2016          Native American to Pioneers              Pinch Pots
November 15, 2016    Paradise Gardens                                Chromatography
February 21, 2017       Can You Dig It?                                  Pottery Rubbings
May 16, 2017              Technology Through History             Catapults

Cost:               $7 per student;  (1) parent/teacher per family FREE;  $3 each additional adult.
(Children 4 and under are free, $3 each to participate in hands-on activity.)
