Take Stock in Children provides mentors, scholarships, and hope for Florida’s low-income and deserving students.
TSIC scholars in middle and high school pledge to meet regularly with their mentor, maintain academic standards and remain drug and crime-free on the way to achieving a high school diploma. The reward for fulfilling these commitments is a scholarship to a Florida state college, university or vocational school.
Incorporated in 1995, the program has maintained a 96 percent high school graduation rate.
According to the Okaloosa Public Schools Foundation, which administers the local TSIC program, The Mid-Bay Rotary has supported the Take Stock in Children program for over a decade. t
Take Stock In Children not only provides scholarships to students, but it also provides mentors and financial advice to students and parents.
