May 2 COVID-19 cases update: Okaloosa records another death

NICEVILLE, Fla — The Florida Department of Health reports this morning a fifth COVID-19 death in Okaloosa County. The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the county is 158, two new cases since Friday morning. The number of confirmed cases in Niceville remains at 21.

NICEVILLE, Fla — The Florida Department of Health reports this morning a fifth COVID-19 death in Okaloosa County. The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the county is 158, two new cases since Friday morning. The number of confirmed cases in Niceville remains at 21.

The number of hospitalizations in Okaloosa is 25, no change over yesterday.

The number of deaths in Okaloosa County has risen from four to five. No information is provided on the death at this time.

To date, 2,860 tests reportedly have been performed in Okaloosa County.

Here’s the latest breakdown by city in Okaloosa (note that the city is not always reported as part of the initial notification and may be missing while the case is being investigated):
