Mr Mayville retired from the Niceville Fire Department after 43 years of service. He spent his life in the Twin Cities, where he was known for supporting residents, mentoring young firefighters, and remaining actively involved in community events.

The Rotary Club said the selection honors his decades of dedication to the place he calls home and encouraged the community to join them by thanking him for his service.

Weather permitting, the 2025 Niceville Valparaiso Christmas Parade steps off Saturday, December 13, at 10 a.m. The theme is “Unite for the Holidays.”
