Longtime employee recognized for 25 years at Eglin FCU

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. — A longtime employee of Eglin Federal Credit Union has been recognized for 25 years of dedicated service, the organization announced this week.

Alicia Kennedy, Card Services Manager, currently resides in Fort Walton Beach and has served in numerous roles since joining Eglin FCU in 2000 as a Special Services Representative at the Fort Walton Beach Branch.

Over the years, Ms Kennedy was promoted to Senior Membership Officer, Senior Teller, and Head Teller at the Mary Esther Branch. In 2018, she transitioned to the Auditing Department as a Senior Auditor. Three years later, she assumed her current role in the Payment Systems Department.

“Over the past 25 years, Alicia has been a steadfast presence at Eglin FCU, contributing in various roles throughout her tenure,” said Dawn Oravetz, SVP and Chief Payments Officer.

“Her dedication and reliability have been instrumental in maintaining the smooth operation of our team. We appreciate Alicia’s consistent effort and commitment to getting the job done, and we look forward to her continued contributions in the years to come.”

Reflecting on her time with the Credit Union, Ms Kennedy said she has appreciated the opportunity to work in various branches and departments, gaining a broad view of operations.

“Throughout my years here, I’ve had the opportunity to work in various branches and departments, gaining a comprehensive view of the Credit Union from the front lines to the behind-the-scenes operations,” Ms Kennedy said.

“This experience has provided me with an invaluable perspective, and I truly appreciate how seamlessly everything integrates. I have a deep affection for our Payments Systems team, where the spirit of collaboration and mutual support is evident. It genuinely feels like a family here.”
