Niceville-based creative firm, Frances Roy Agency, is expanding with the addition of full-time Art Director.
Newly hired Art Director, Janae Erickson brings over six years of design experience and a plethora of new opportunities to the local agency. Erickson will launch Frances Roy’s full-time art department and oversee all visual design projects. Her leadership marks a critical step in the local agency’s expansion of services.
“Janae joining the team means the launch of an internal art department, as well as an increase in services to each of our clients,” said Shantelle Dedicke, President at Frances Roy Agency. “This is the beginning of a new era at Frances Roy. Janae is the perfect designer and illustrator to lead our visual creative efforts.”

A Niceville High graduate, Erickson began her creative journey at the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a focus in animation. In May 2011, she began working as the Photoshop Graphic Artist at Rooms Alive where she retouched images of furniture and collaborated with interior designers.
From August 2011 to March 2018, she was the Graphic Artist at Marc-Michaels Interior Design. While at Marc-Michaels Interior Design, Erickson produced high quality design work such as digitally designed floor plans, elevations and 3D sketches ranging from realistic to watercolor, and helped design Marc-Michael’s new website.
Erickson’s web design work includes custom tile designer, Barbie Kennedy and local photographer Nicole Bielenin. Along the way, she helped with local Girl Scout graphics and opened her very own Etsy shop (janaeEdesigns) in July 2015.

Erickson has worked as a freelancer for Frances Roy Agency since July 2017, where she edited websites, created logos, assisted in branding, created event flyers and developed marketing collateral.
“I am excited to join the creative team at Frances Roy and expand design services to our clients,” said Erickson.
