According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), a nurse taking a work break near an employee parking lot at HCA Fort Walton Beach – Destin Hospital on Mar Walt Drive was “blitz-attacked” by a man with a tire iron early Thursday morning.

Raul Milla Jr., 27, has been charged with attempted felony murder, the OCSO said.

According to the OCSO, the woman fought off the attacker but not before being struck five or six times in the head, causing severe lacerations and swelling.
