WALTON COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will make new information available beginning at 12 p.m. CDT, Wednesday, Oct. 8, regarding the State Road 20 resurfacing improvement project from west of Business 331 (Madison Street) to State Road 81 in Walton County.

The project will resurface existing travel lanes, auxiliary lanes, and paved shoulders. FDOT said new turn lanes are also planned to improve traffic flow and safety, including a second left-turn lane on U.S. 331 and a merge lane on State Road 20 at the State Road 20/U.S. 331 intersection.

Other improvements include a westbound left-turn lane at Black Creek Boulevard and an eastbound left-turn lane at Windswept Boulevard. No additional right-of-way is required, and bids for construction are scheduled to occur in late 2026, the FDOT said.

Maps, drawings, and other project information will be available starting Oct. 8 at www.nwflroads.com/calendar.
