NICEVILLE, Fla. — The 2025 EOD Warrior Challenge, a 4.5-mile ruck, 0.5-mile swim, and 4-mile run, will take place on April 26, 2025, starting and finishing at the EOD Memorial on Range Road in Bluewater Bay.
The endurance event, hosted by the Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal (NAVSCOLEOD) Joint Service Association, will begin at 9 a.m., following an opening ceremony at 8 a.m. On-site registration, check-in, and weigh-in will be available from 7 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
Participants will complete a 4.5-mile ruck along Range Road, followed by a half-mile open-water swim across a section of Rocky Bayou. They will conclude with a four-mile run along local roads leading back to the memorial. See the Garmin course map here.
To be eligible for prizes, participants 18 and older must carry a minimum ruck weight of 30 pounds, while those 17 and younger must carry at least 15 pounds. Competitors may adjust their weight based on fitness level, but only those meeting the minimum requirements will qualify for awards.
Racers can compete individually or as part of a five-member team. Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers, the top competitors in six age groups—under 17, 18–25, 26–30, 30–40, 40–50, and over 50—and the top overall team. The awards ceremony will take place once most participants have finished the course.
Registration is $45 per person (ages 0–17, $30).
A virtual participation option is available for those who cannot attend in person but still want to support the cause. Virtual participants can complete the challenge at their own location and receive an event T-shirt and race packet.
Registration includes race entry, two beverage tickets, two meal tickets, and an event T-shirt. Participants who register by April 13, 2025, are guaranteed a T-shirt, while availability for later registrants will be limited.
Proceeds from the EOD Warrior Challenge will support the EOD Memorial and other EOD-focused organizations.
