FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla.—Experience a day of fun and learning at the inaugural Clean Water Festival on Saturday, August 17, at The Landing in downtown Fort Walton Beach.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Celebrate water with local poets as they share their winning water-themed pieces from the Clean Water Festival poetry and short stories contest. Witness the announcement of the photo contest winner, where residents select the best photo representing the Gulf Coast.
Enjoy a performance by musical guest Kat Kirby and Friends, face-painting by Dancing Canvas, and food from Copper Grille and Buns for the Road food trucks.
Northwest Florida is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, from its beaches and rivers to its streams and woods. To preserve these treasures for future generations, local and state organizations and individuals are dedicated to protecting, restoring, and conserving these environments.
Festival-goers will discover their efforts and learn how communities can contribute to these important causes, all while potentially saving money.
Featured vendors include Emerald Coast Science Center, FDOH Healthy Beaches, Coastal Community Cleanup, FDEP Aquatic Preserves, and Downtown FWB.
