DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla. — Eglin Federal Credit Union has expanded its presence in Walton County with the opening of a new full-service branch in DeFuniak Springs.

The credit union celebrated the grand opening of its branch at 677 U.S. Highway 90 W with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 25.
The DeFuniak Springs Branch is Eglin FCU’s second full-service branch and third location in Walton County. The credit union opened its Freeport Branch in July 2024 and its Santa Rosa Beach ATM/Video Teller Drive-thru in May.
Membership is available to individuals who live, work, attend school, or worship within Eglin FCU’s geographic field of membership in Walton County.
“Our newest branch in DeFuniak Springs continues our tradition of delivering five-star service, personalized support and meaningful financial guidance to help our members achieve their goals,” said Eglin FCU President and CEO Cathie Staton.

The community was invited to attend the grand opening, which featured music by Cumulus Broadcasting, complimentary Dippin’ Dots, and a drawing for two Yeti Roadie coolers.
The approximately 4,400-square-foot branch features an open design with interactive touchscreens, touchscreen Video Tellers, drive-thru ATMs, a Coinstar machine, and a night drop.

La Macchia Group served as the design-build firm for the new branch. The company also designed and built Eglin FCU’s Pace Branch, Freeport Branch, Operations Center, and Santa Rosa Beach ATM/Video Teller Drive-thru.
