According to DOH-Okaloosa, water samples collected on Monday, June 9, showed levels of Enterococcus bacteria that exceed the recommended criteria for recreational use.

Health officials advise that swimming or wading at these locations could pose a health risk, especially for those with open wounds or weakened immune systems.

Water quality results are available at FloridaHealth.gov/HealthyBeaches.

For more information, residents may call 850-833-9247 or visit Okaloosa.FloridaHealth.gov.
