Salty Dawgz’ Deep Sea Fishing and Charters, a new family owned and operated charter fishing service, is now open and operating out of North Light Marina in Niceville. The charter service opened for business on July 4, 2015.
Salty Dawgz’ offers Gulf fishing trips of four, six and eight hours — as well as custom trips — aboard its 28-foot Proline 28 Express.
Salty Dawgz’ Deep Sea Fishing and Charters is owned and operated by Captain Mike Haney and his wife, Gretchen Haney. Mike is a seasoned fishing pro and 50 Gross Ton Master Captain.
Mike’s love of fishing began while he was stationed in Alaska, where for many years he captained countless fishing excursions in the Gulf of Alaska. Mike is active duty military with more than 23 years service in the Air Force. He has been fishing local waters for nearly two years.
Though he is active duty, Mike can arrange his work schedule to meet the needs of anglers. Fishing excursions are available seven days per week. Gretchen typically serves as a deckhand.
Gretchen said they selected North Light as the home marina for Salty Dawgz’ Deep Sea Fishing and Charters because of the pictureque location and amenities offered at North Light.
