NICEVILLE, Fla. — The City of Niceville and the Niceville Police Department (NPD) announced that two individuals were reported soliciting services in several neighborhoods without the permits required by city or county regulations.
According to the City of Niceville and the NPD, the individuals were seen distributing curb-painting flyers in neighborhoods between Dyer Street, McEwen/Cedar, and Palm Boulevard South. The city and police said the flyers may be interpreted as misleading because they suggest the individuals were working with the City of Niceville to assist emergency personnel.
The city and NPD said neither individual had been hired or authorized to perform any services on behalf of the City of Niceville. Both subjects were issued warnings by law enforcement and were instructed to obtain proper documentation before soliciting in residential areas.
