CRESTVIEW, Fla. — A Crestview man was arrested after investigators reportedly discovered more than 6,000 files of generated child sexual abuse material at his residence, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office announced.

According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), members of its Internet Crimes Against Children Unit received a tip in December 2025 from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding suspected child sexual abuse material.
The investigation identified Colby Sanders of Crestview as the suspect, the OCSO said.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and the North Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant at Sanders’ residence on Old Bethel Road in Crestview. Investigators reportedly located more than 6,000 files described under Florida law as generated child sexual abuse material.
Mr Sanders was arrested and charged with possession of generated child pornography under Florida Statute 827.072, according to the OCSO.

Under Florida law, “generated child pornography” is defined as an image created, altered, adapted, or modified by electronic or computer-generated means to portray a fictitious person who appears to be under 18 years of age engaged in sexual conduct.
The statute makes it unlawful to knowingly possess, control, or intentionally view such material. Each image or file may be charged as a separate offense. The charge is a third-degree felony, punishable under Florida law.
Mr Sanders was taken into custody and is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
