NICEVILLE, Fla. — The City of Niceville has successfully completed the FY2024-2025 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, resulting in two new home rebuilds and two homes repaired for residents at no cost.
Administered by the city in partnership with Summit Professional Services, Inc., improvements under the federal grant program are said to enhance the safety and livability of the homes and contribute to the overall well-being of the community.
For this cycle, the city was awarded $700,000, which funded the completion of four housing projects.
According to the City of Niceville, two Niceville residents now have brand-new homes, while two others received essential repairs to their existing residences.
City Manager David Deitch expressed gratitude for the program’s success.
“We are thrilled to see how this program has positively impacted our residents,” he said.
“Providing safe and affordable housing is a top priority for our city, and we are committed to continuing this important work.”
The CDBG program will return in 2026. The city encourages eligible residents to apply when applications reopen.
