Chapala Mexican Restaurant Niceville will open in the Palm Plaza — probably about 4-5 months from now — in the former location of Tucker Duke’s and Joey’s Italian Grill.
A popular Fort Walton Beach eatery that serves Mexican and Southwest cuisine, Chapula Authentic Mexican Restaurant & Grill, is opening a location in Niceville later this year.
Chapala Mexican Restaurant Niceville will open in the Palm Plaza — probably about 4-5 months from now — in the former location of the Brass Rooster, Tucker Duke’s, and Joey’s Italian Grill. The space is currently undergoing a complete remodel.
“We’re told it will take about four months for construction, and then we’ll need maybe 30 days to get moved in,” said Kami Kapaku, who owns and operates Chapala Authentic Mexican Restaurant & Grill in Uptown Station with her husband, Jose.
Kapaku said they are opening a Niceville location because they believe there is a desire here for a full-service, authentic Mexican Restaurant and Chapala’s is a good fit for the community.
