Canned food drive for Sharing and Caring of Niceville runs through October 16

NICEVILLE, Fla. — Sharing and Caring of Niceville, with the support of local businesses and schools, is holding a canned food drive through October 16.

Donations can be dropped off at several locations, including Bluewater Fitness at 4591 E. State Road 20, Bluewater Strength at 1183 John Sims Parkway E., Bluewater Bay Tennis Club at 77 Bay Drive, CCB Community Bank at 1502 John Sims Parkway E., and Growing Green Families at 127 N. John Sims Parkway, Valparaiso.

Students at Bluewater Elementary School and Addie R. Lewis School are also encouraged to bring food donations to school.

Sharing and Caring is collecting non-perishable items, including:

  • Canned vegetables
  • Canned beans
  • Canned soups
  • Canned chili
  • Canned beef stew
  • Tuna
  • Canned chicken
  • Pasta
  • Canned spaghetti sauce
  • Rice
  • Peanut butter
  • Spam
  • Boxed cereal
  • Instant potatoes
  • Gravy
  • Jiffy Muffin Mix
  • Coffee
  • Hamburger Helper

Additionally, donations can be made during normal business hours at Sharing and Caring of Niceville, 104 Bullock Blvd.

Sharing and Caring expressed gratitude to the businesses and schools supporting the drive and encouraged the community to contribute.
