Brothers Alonzo Deanthony Tucker-Wyche, 27, of Tallahassee, and De’quan Davion Wyche, 24, of Riverview, are charged with conspiracy to commit Hobbs Act robbery, robbery, and the use of a firearm during the commission of robberies.

If convicted, they face a minimum of 20 years in federal prison, with potential sentences up to life, said the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida.

According to court documents, the first robbery occurred on October 27, 2024, at approximately 5:30 a.m. when a silver vehicle entered the parking lot of a Tampa convenience store. Tucker-Wyche reportedly entered the store, revealed an AR-15 firearm, and pointed it at the clerk, who fled out the back door.

After chasing the clerk unsuccessfully, Mr Tucker-Wyche is said to have removed the cash register drawer and fled to the waiting vehicle driven by Wyche.

A similar incident occurred shortly after at a nearby gas station, where the suspects allegedly attempted another robbery but left after discovering the front door was locked.

On November 5, 2024, the suspects reportedly targeted a Tampa retail store. Tucker-Wyche allegedly pointed a firearm at the clerk, demanded she open the register, and destroyed her phone when she didn’t react quickly.

Prosecutors said he then took the cash drawer and fled to the same silver vehicle.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Florida Highway Patrol, investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Diego F. Novaes is prosecuting.

An indictment is a formal charge, and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
