Blacksmithing “Hammer In” open house is July 24

Niceville.comJuly 14, 20211 Min Read

MILTON, Fla. — The Florida Artist Blacksmith Association – Far West region – will conduct its monthly Blacksmithing Open House, known as a “Hammer In”, on Saturday, July 24, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Butler’s Countryside Farm, 4112 Bell Lane, Milton, FL 32571.

During this “Hammer In,” there will be a short discussion on documenting your progress toward a FABA Journeyman Blacksmith certificate followed by open forge time where members of the association will be demonstrating various blacksmithing techniques as they complete their own projects.

Everyone is welcome to come, observe, talk to our local blacksmiths and perhaps join our organization and then try your hand at forging steel.
