PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla.  — The Bay County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) announced the arrest of a Panama City Beach man on multiple drug charges, despite the man’s attempt to dispose of the evidence by consuming some and attempting to flush another quantity down the toilet, the BCSO said.

As investigators knocked on the door, Steven Michael Haley, age 50, consumed some of the illegal narcotics and flushed a quantity of the cocaine down the toilet, according to the BCSO.

BCSO narcotics investigators seized 119.3 grams of Fentanyl, 2,133 grams of Cocaine, over $5,000 in US currency ammunition, and drug paraphernalia, the BCSO said.

Haley was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Fentanyl more than 28 grams, Trafficking in Cocaine, over 200 grams, Tampering with Evidence, Keeping a Public Nuisance Structure, Possession of Ammunition by a Convicted Felon, Failure to Register as a Convicted Felon, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, the BCSO said.
