April 11 COVID-19, vaccination report for Okaloosa, Niceville

NICEVILLE, Fla — The Florida Department of Health on Sunday reported 12 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases in Okaloosa County.

The cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in Okaloosa is 19,954.

The FDOH reports the total number of people killed by COVID-19 in Okaloosa is 356, no change since the previous report.

Statewide, 5,520 new cases were reported by the FDOH. The current cumulative total is 2,124,233. The total number of Florida residents who have died from COVID-19 in the state is 34,021.

The cumulative number of hospitalizations in Okaloosa is 716, one more since the previous day. Currently, there are 8 COVID-19 patients in Okaloosa County hospitals.

According to the FDOH, since the previous report, there were 189 test results returned in Okaloosa with 13 positives. The daily positivity rate is 6.88 percent.

According to the FDOH, Okaloosa’s weekly positivity rate is 3.73 percent for the week ending April 3, down from 5.12 percent the previous week.

Florida’s current weekly positivity rate is 9.8 percent (7-day moving average) according to Johns Hopkins University Coronavirus Resource Center data.
