OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. — A Bed 4 Me Foundation has been awarded a $6,000 grant from the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation to support its mission of helping children in need.

The Valparaiso-based organization, which provides bedding kits at no cost to local families, was one of 17 nonprofit organizations nationwide selected for funding during the foundation’s first round of 2025 biannual grants. Angela Harder of Bradley Title, LLC in Niceville, nominated the organization to receive the grant.

“We are honored to be the recipient of this grant from the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation,” said Diane Freeman, Executive Director at A Bed 4 Me Foundation.

“Our organization will use this grant to ensure that children have a place of their own to sleep at night by providing bedding kits at no cost to local families.”

The grant recipients were announced during ALTA EDge, held March 19–21 in Louisville, Kentucky. Since launching in 2020, the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation has awarded more than $1.2 million to 211 nonprofit organizations across the country.

“In just a few years, the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation has transformed the generosity of title professionals into tangible community impact,” said Foundation Board Chair Mary O’Donnell, president and CEO of Westcor Land Title Insurance Co. and past president of ALTA.

“These grants empower local organizations to continue their critical work, strengthening neighborhoods and supporting those in need.”

Diane Tomb, CEO of the American Land Title Association (ALTA), said the foundation’s work extends the values of the title insurance industry into communities across the U.S.

“The title insurance industry is built on protecting homeownership, and through the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation, we extend that commitment beyond our work and into our communities,” said Ms Tomb.

“By supporting nonprofits dedicated to community initiatives, we help strengthen neighborhoods and ensure families have the resources they need to build better futures.”

The ALTA Good Deeds Foundation was created by the American Land Title Association, a national trade group representing the land title insurance industry. Preference for grant funding is given to housing-related 501(c)(3) organizations supported by ALTA members through volunteer service or donations.
