Valparaiso Niceville Veterans Day ceremony is Saturday

The 2018 Niceville Valparaiso Veterans Day ceremony will be held at Doolittle Memorial Park in Valparaiso on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m.

The annual Veterans Day event is sponsored by the Twin Cities Veterans Council.

Speakers will include Lt. General James Sherrard, Valparaiso Mayor Brent Smith, and Niceville Mayor Pro Tem Sal Nodjomian.

The Niceville High School Air Force Junior ROTC will present colors.

Seating is limited; lawn chairs are suggested.

In case of bad weather, the event will be held at Amvets Post 78, 910 Valastics Ave in Valparaiso.

Doolittle Park is located on John Sims Parkway just inside the city limits of Valparaiso. The 1.2-acre park is named after General James Doolittle, an American aviation pioneer, and is in remembrance of all of those who have served in our military.
