For the fifth year, the Vietnam/Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club (MC), Chapter Z will present a Memorial Day Ceremony, May 30, shortly after 11 a.m., at the Fallen Soldier Monument located at Niceville City Hall.
The event begins with a motorcycle ride that departs the Bayou Plaza parking lot in Niceville (Hwy 85 S and John Sims Pkwy) at 11 a.m., proceeding to Niceville City Hall for the ceremony at the Fallen Soldier Monument with Eglin AFB Honor Guard posting the colors, National Anthem and Pledge of Allegiance.

Special Guest Speaker will be Colonel James A. Diddle (USAF Retired), who began his military career serving as a multi-engine pilot flying the B-29, KC-97 and B-47. Col. Diddle served in numerous positions during his tour which included AF Inspector General Team, HQ3rd Air Division at Andersen AFB Guam; SAC HQs Test Director in Offitt AFB. During the Viet Nam era, his assignments included Guam,Viet Nam, Thailand and Cambodia.
After the ceremony, the day continues at the American Legion Post 221, 444 E John Sims Pkwy, in Niceville:

The Vietnam/Legacy Vets MC is a patriotic group of riders who place a high priority on supporting Veterans and Veterans’ concerns in our community. Members consist primarily of former and current service members who share a love for this country and a passion for motorcycling.
