The Okaloosa County America 250 Commission said the nationally known performer will take part in both the pre-parade festivities and the parade itself, which is expected to draw large crowds for the patriotic milestone event.

Mr Anderson is known for his song “Mr. Red, White, and Blue” and for performances at patriotic and faith-based events across the country.

“We are very fortunate to have Coffey share his talent and patriotism at our Patriots’ Day events. He reminds us of what being a modern Patriot is all about and certainly exemplifies what the American dream is all about for so many Americans today,” said Graham W. Fountain, chairman of the Okaloosa County America 250 Commission.

The event will begin at 1 p.m. with a pre-parade celebration at the Okaloosa County Courthouse, followed by the grand parade at 4 p.m. along Main Street. Organizers said the celebration will continue through the evening with live entertainment, food vendors, and community activities.

Mr Anderson is scheduled to perform during the pre-parade event and will also ride in the parade.

Following the parade, he will participate in a Liberty Tree planting ceremony and the dedication of a Revolutionary War-themed America 250 bench at the Okaloosa County Veterans Monument alongside members of the Daughters and Sons of the American Revolution.

According to organizers, the America 250 celebration is intended to be one of the largest patriotic events in the county’s history, marking 250 years of American independence.

The event is expected to include floats, marching bands, veteran tributes, and appearances by community groups and cultural organizations. Families are encouraged to attend and wear patriotic attire.

Mr Anderson, a native of Bangs, Texas, has performed at the Grand Ole Opry multiple times and gained national attention through his appearances on American Idol and the series Country Ever After.
