OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has announced several temporary lane closures and roadway disruptions this week as construction and maintenance projects continue across Okaloosa and Walton counties.

OKALOOSA COUNTY
— Brooks Bridge Replacement Project
Drivers may encounter intermittent lane closures Sunday, March 15, through Thursday, March 19, from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. for construction activities at two locations: Santa Rosa Boulevard from U.S. 98 to Ross Marler Park, and U.S. 98 from Ferry Road to Pier Road. Signage and traffic flaggers will be in place to direct drivers safely through the work zones.
— Interstate 10 at P.J. Adams Parkway Interchange
Beginning Monday, March 16, Antioch Road will be temporarily closed just south of the P.J. Adams Parkway intersection as crews construct the connection to the new P.J. Adams Parkway alignment. Drivers needing access to Antioch Road south of P.J. Adams Parkway should follow the detour via Wildhorse Drive. The closure and detour are expected to remain in place until Monday, March 23.
— U.S. 98 Resurfacing from Santa Rosa County Line to west of Josie Road
Motorists will encounter shoulder closures Monday, March 16, through Thursday, March 19, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for construction activity throughout the project limits.

WALTON COUNTY
— U.S. 331 Turn Lane Operation south of Madison Street
Motorists may encounter intermittent northbound outside lane closures Sunday, March 15, through Thursday, March 19, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for turn lane closure operations.
— State Road 20 Routine Bridge Inspection over Choctawhatchee River
Drivers may encounter intermittent eastbound lane closures west of State Road 79 on Thursday, March 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. as crews perform routine bridge inspection and maintenance.
FDOT noted that all planned work is weather-dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled if conditions require. Drivers are urged to use caution when traveling through work zones and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering or exiting the roadway.
