The City of Niceville previously announced that the restrooms at the Turkey Creek Nature Trail would close beginning February 16 for about one month as part of a full rehabilitation project.

According to the City of Niceville, the facility’s interior is undergoing a complete remodel, including updated and repaired fixtures, new flooring, and fresh paint.

Mid-Bay Bridge Rotary Club members completed the painting work on Monday after old fixtures and plumbing were removed as part of the renovation.

The Rotary project is the club’s 2026 district grant initiative. Under the program, the club provides half of the funding while the Rotary district provides matching funds.

Club members reportedly donate more than $14,000 each year to the Rotary Foundation, with a portion of those funds returned to the district to support community projects. Additional matching funds come from local Rotary fundraisers such as Oktoberfest and the club’s annual golf tournament.

ADA-accessible portable restrooms and handwashing stations remain available on site during construction, according to the City of Niceville.
