Eglin night fighter flights set over two weeks

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. — Residents in and around Eglin Air Force Base may experience increased aircraft noise over the next two weeks as the 58th Fighter Squadron conducts scheduled night flying operations.

According to Eglin Air Force Base, fighter aircraft will conduct missions from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 23 through Feb. 26 and again March 2 through March 5.

The base said night flying is required for training operations and helps ensure pilots maintain mission readiness.
