NICEVILLE, Fla. — A 23-year-old Crestview man was arrested after a traffic stop in Niceville reportedly led to the discovery of 27.6 grams of fentanyl and other controlled substances, according to the Niceville Police Department (NPD).
The NPD said officers responded to a retail theft complaint on October 23 shortly before 5 p.m. at the CEFCO store located at 555 Highway 85 North. During the investigation, officers said they saw a silver Hyundai parked at the gas pumps in front of the store’s entrance. The vehicle’s passenger was identified as Jacob Gabany, who police said is a known member of a criminal gang.
A subsequent investigation reportedly found Mr Gabany in possession of 27.6 grams of fentanyl and other controlled substances.
Mr Gabany was arrested and charged with trafficking in fentanyl, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug equipment, and resisting an officer without violence, the NPD said.

The case remains under investigation by the Niceville Police Department.
