Ms Corlew, who lives in Fort Walton Beach, was honored during a celebratory breakfast held on Wednesday, October 15, at the Eglin FCU Operations Center. Friends, family, and coworkers gathered to celebrate her milestone and recognize her years of commitment.

During the celebration,  Loan Services Manager Hunter Nichols praised Ms Corlew’s work ethic and compassion.

“What stands out to me about Lela is how she treats her coworkers like family and speaks about Eglin FCU as if it’s her home. Her dedication to her work is something I deeply appreciate,” said Mr Nichols.

“When you give Lela an assignment, she goes above and beyond to find an answer or solution — even if it means spending countless hours on the phone with state DMVs or dealerships. Her integrity, work ethic and consistency have helped shape Eglin FCU into what it is today. She continues to be a shining example of a five-star employee.”

In 2004, she became a part-time Special Services Representative, followed by a promotion to full-time Member Service Counselor at the Mary Esther branch in 2007.

After briefly serving as a Returned Items Representative in 2009, she returned to Mary Esther in 2010 as a Member Service Counselor, providing more than a decade of service to local members.

In June 2021, Ms Corlew advanced to her current role as PAL & Title Supervisor at the Operations Center, leading a team of processors dedicated to accuracy, efficiency, and Eglin FCU’s mission of member service.
