Elaine Carr, who lives in Fort Walton Beach, began working at Eglin FCU in February 2020. She currently serves as an IT Technician and was honored for embodying the credit union’s core values: respectful, trustworthy, dedicated, proactive, and engaged.

Ms Carr was nominated by a colleague who praised her exceptional contributions to the IT team, describing her as a reliable, solutions-focused team member whose professionalism fosters a positive and inclusive work environment.

Her proactive approach is said to help the department address challenges early, and her commitment to excellence was highlighted as a key factor in the team’s overall success.

“Working in the IT department is incredibly rewarding—we’re truly the backbone of Eglin Federal Credit Union,” Ms Carr said. “I love being part of a team that gets to solve problems and make life easier for our coworkers.”

And yes, it might sound cliché, but my department really does feel like one big family. We support each other, laugh together, and embrace everyone’s unique personalities. I’m especially grateful for our leadership in IT—they’ve created a space where collaboration thrives and everyone feels valued.”

Ms Carr began her career with the credit union as a part-time Teller at the Fort Walton Beach branch before advancing later that year to the role of Information Systems Computer Op II/ITM/ATM.

She joined the IT department in September 2021.

IT Manager Ryan Ray said Ms Carr’s calm and dependable presence has made a significant impact.

“Elaine brings a consistently supportive and composed presence to the IT department, which is especially valuable during high-pressure situations,” Mr Ray said. “Her reliability and punctuality are unmatched—you could practically set your watch by her!

I am grateful for her proactive commitment to professional growth, as it sets a strong example for the entire team. Elaine represents the very best of Eglin FCU’s 5-Star Values and it’s a privilege to have her on my team.”
