The Prescription Place of Niceville celebrated its official Grand Opening on Tuesday with a reception and Ribbon Cutting by the Niceville-Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce.

Located adjacent to the former Kmart building, The Prescription Place opened for business in June. An independent, hometown pharmacy, The Prescription Place is owned by local pharmacists Shane Abbott and Cari Cole, who have owned and operated The Prescription Place in DeFuniak Springs since 2006.

“We are excited about serving Niceville” said Abbott. “Niceville is a great community with wonderful people.”

Cole said they have looked forward to opening in Niceville for the past several years.

“God kind of made it happen at the right time,” she said. “We feel really blessed.”

More than 30 people were in attendance for the ribbon cutting, including Niceville Mayor Randall Wise. The ribbon was cut by Cole and pharmacist Kristen Hicks Whiddon.

The Prescription Place features low prices, fast service, a drive-thru, and online refills. The staff, headed by Whiddon, provides exceptional customer service.

The Prescription Place is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.. The Prescription Place is located at 1140 John Sims Parkway. Call 389-8182.
