OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. — Okaloosa County is now accepting applications from licensed private practice attorneys interested in serving on the Board of Trustees for the Okaloosa County Law Library.
According to the Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners (BCC), one attorney will be appointed to the Board of Trustees, which governs the operation and maintenance of the county’s law library.
The term is for two years and may begin immediately upon appointment.
The law library was established in 1967 under a Special Act of the Florida Legislature and is governed by a board that includes judges, elected officials, and attorneys. The trustee board is responsible for establishing rules and policies governing the library’s operation, use, and maintenance.
To qualify, applicants must be licensed practicing attorneys in Okaloosa County. Requirements are set forth in Chapter 67-1787, Laws of Florida, as amended by Chapter 89-416, and by BCC policy.
