TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A once-vacant government building in Tallahassee has been restored and reopened as a wellness-focused business hub known as The Tallahassee Wellplex.

Originally constructed in 1972, the building—known locally as The Ashley—was formerly used by the Florida Department of Health and spans more than 49,000 square feet. It is now said to be thriving again under the ownership of Dr. Windrik Lynch and his wife, Jessie Lynch.

The Lynches, who both have long-standing ties to the Tallahassee medical community, purchased the property at 1321 Executive Center Drive with the intent of preserving and repurposing the structure. Dr. Lynch is a physician with Tallahassee Neurological Clinic, and Jessie Lynch works in medical sales.

“Our shared experiences in this esteemed institution have solidified our connection to Tallahassee,” said Ms Lynch.

“Tallahassee has embraced us with open arms, and it is with this same spirit of warmth and community that we endeavor to bring together health-focused companies and concentrations through The Tallahassee Wellplex.”

The renovated building now features modern finishes, advanced technological upgrades, and enhanced security, offering a polished and functional space for a range of tenants.

“The renovated building is poised to become a vibrant hub of activity, providing a unique space for businesses and professionals to thrive while serving as a beacon of progress for our city,” said Ms Lynch.

One of the anchor tenants at the new Wellplex is the Tallahassee Neurological Clinic, which is marking its 56th anniversary this year. The clinic provides neurosurgery, neurology, and pain management care and is staffed by physicians, including Dr. Joshua Fuhrmeister, Dr. Lynch, and Dr. Thomas Regan.

Approximately 25,142 square feet of space remains available for lease. Businesses interested in touring or learning more can contact Chance Shutes with The Big Bend Group at Keller Williams.
