NICEVILLE, Fla. — The Okaloosa County School Board has formally recognized the Niceville High School cheerleaders for winning their sixth straight Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) 2A Large All Girls State Championship.
During the recent school board meeting, Coach Tanya Herndon praised the team’s perseverance and called the 2025 win their hardest-earned title yet. She said the squad had to adjust to a more competitive division and overcome strong opponents to secure the championship.
“This was by far the best performance Niceville has ever put on at State and was the best routine we could have done,” said Coach Herndon during her remarks to the board.
The Niceville cheer squad advanced to Class 2A this season, making their path to the title even more challenging. Despite the added challenge, the cheerleaders rose to the occasion and executed what is being described as a top-tier performance.
The 2025 state championship team includes:
Brooke Alsleben, Abbi Ballew, Autumn Black, Kate Black, Ruby Brasher, Jerzie Brooks, Kaycie Constant, Alli Culbertson, Ashlee Culbertson, Kaylynn Hayles, Ava Hinely, Hope Knight, Ansley Mitchell, Taylor Orschell, Erin Stillings, Savannah Sundin, Lia Tate, Ansley Thrasher, Grace Walpole, Lolo Williams, and Gracie Wilson.
