FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. — Eglin Federal Credit Union has recognized Tim Farnsworth, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, for his remarkable 30-year tenure with the organization.
Starting his career at age 19 as a maintenance custodian, Mr Farnsworth rose through the ranks to his current executive role, overseeing cybersecurity, business continuity, electronic infrastructure, and information technology operations for the credit union.
“We are thrilled to honor Tim for his three decades of exceptional service and unwavering commitment to Eglin Federal Credit Union,” said Cathie Staton, President/CEO.
“His journey is a true testament to the power of hard work, lifelong learning, and personal growth. Throughout his career, Tim has played a pivotal role in driving the Credit Union’s technological innovations, ensuring that members enjoy a seamless and secure banking experience.”
While working at the credit union, Farnsworth pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of West Florida and a Master of Science in Management with an emphasis in Leadership from Troy University.
He also serves on the North Florida Cyber Regional Domestic Security Task Force and the Okaloosa Technical College Advisory Committee for Cyber Security and Information Technology.
