NICEVILLE, Fla.—Prepare for a stunning fireworks display over Boggy Bayou starting at about 8:45 p.m. on Independence Day, Thursday, July 4.
The Light Up The Bayou Committee, the City of Niceville, and the City of Valparaiso partner each year to put on the popular display, where multi-colored fireworks are launched into the sky from a barge between Lincoln Park and Lions Park. The 2024 event promises vibrant colors, loud booms, and spectacular sights.
The fireworks show is funded by donations from the community.
People from far and wide come to witness the annual display. After the sun sets, over a ton of fireworks will light up the night sky for about 20 minutes, culminating in a breathtaking finale.
For the best views of the 2024 fireworks, head to Lincoln Park, Lions Park, Kiwanis Park, Niceville Landing, or Shipyard Point Park. Arrive early with lawn chairs for the ultimate experience, or find a strategic parking lot view.
A premier spot is Wharf 850 on Bayshore Drive, offering a waterfront view of the fireworks.
On Thursday, Bayshore Drive will be closed for the 4th of July Celebration from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thru traffic will only be allowed for pedestrians and residents.
Additionally, the boat ramp at Lions Park will be closed from 12 a.m. to 10 p.m. on July 4.
