FLORIDA – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) recently partnered with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to arrest three suspects for robbery with a weapon.
Leon Joseph Salters II, 30, Ja-Rawle Caesar Nation, 31, and Javon Desean Salters, 29, all of Pompano Beach, were arrested on October 20.
According to the FDLE, on October 16, a tip was submitted regarding Salters II, Caesar Nation, and Salters attempting to commit an armed smash-and-grab robbery to a local business. The tip reportedly advised that the robbery would occur in the early morning hours of October 20, allowing agents and deputies to survey the area.
Through investigative and forensic techniques, the FDLE said the suspects were identified and arrested before the planned robbery. The suspects were allegedly discovered with a stolen vehicle, a sledgehammer, and a firearm in their possession.
“Smash-and-grab robberies may be commonplace in San Francisco and LA, but here in Florida, we won’t stand for it,” said FDLE Commissioner Mark Glass.
The investigation is still active and ongoing, and further charges may be filed. If you have any information about this case or the suspects, please contact FDLE Orlando at (407) 245-0888.
The suspects were booked into the Orange County Jail. The Office of the State Attorney, Ninth Judicial Circuit, will prosecute the case.
