The survey questions will help local leaders to understand better public opinions about housing affordability, needs, and types of development, the county said in an announcement.

“Hearing from our residents is a critical component of our planning efforts to address affordable housing in Okaloosa County,” said Okaloosa County Board Chairman Trey Goodwin.

“We want to address housing needs for all of our residents, including working families, by enhancing our housing inventory and identifying additional strategies that address this issue.”

According to the county, the survey is developed by Thomas P. Miller & Associates (TPMA), a consulting firm for survey development and analysis.

The county said no personal or other identifying information will be provided to city or county departments, staff, or elected officials. All information collected in this survey will be reported only in the aggregate and will be fully anonymized.

The community survey is available through September 4. 2023. To take the survey, visit https://www.surveylegend.com/s/52wj.
