FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. – The Fort Walton Beach Police Department (FWBPD) has confiscated methamphetamine, fentanyl, and other drugs and syringes associated with spring break, according to an announcement by the FWBPD.

“Spring Break is definitely here!” the FWPD posted on social media with the announcement.

Within a 12-hour span of time, the FWBPD reports officers recovered 484 grams of methamphetamine, 33.3 grams of fentanyl, and 23 pills. This significant seizure demonstrates the positive results of our officers’ diligent work and dedication to prevention and keeping our community safe!” the FWPD posted om social media.

No details have been released this morning on how the drugs were recovered or arrests associated with them.

On Monday, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported they have issued 268 citations for underage possession of alcohol, according to announcements from each of the agencies.
