BAY COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists will encounter traffic disruptions on the following state roads in Bay and Jackson counties as crews perform construction and maintenance activities.
Bay County:
State Road (S.R.) 390 Widening from Jenks Avenue to S.R. 77
Kentucky Avenue is closed at S.R. 390. Pedestrian traffic along S.R. 77 (Ohio Avenue) is shifted to the west side of the roadway, between 12th Street and the S.R. 390 intersection.
S.R. 390 Widening from Baldwin Road to Jenks Avenue
All lanes are now open, though drivers may encounter brief, alternating, and intermittent lane shifts as crews work to complete this segment of S.R. 390.
S.R. 390 Widening from 23rd Street to Baldwin Road
Crews are reconstructing the Stanford Road intersection at S.R. 390. The intersection remains open, but work is expected to continue through mid-March.
S.R. 388 Reconstruction from S.R. 79 to East of Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport
Traffic on S.R. 388 near the entrance to the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport will be shifted onto a portion of the newly constructed S.R. 388 Sunday, March 13 to allow crews to work on the roundabout. Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures on S.R. 388 from 8 p.m. Sunday, March 13 to 6 a.m. Monday, March 14.
Jackson County:
Interstate 10 Sneads Weigh in Motion (WIM) Equipment Installation – Motorists will encounter lane closures from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the following days as crews install equipment at the WIM station:
- Westbound outside lane will be closed Tuesday, March 15.
- Eastbound outside lane will be closed Wednesday, March 16 and Thursday, March 17.
All planned construction activities are weather-dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to pay attention to the reduced speed limit when traveling through the construction area.
