NICEVILLE, Fla – Costa Enterprises McDonalds recently promoted Kevin McKone, formerly the director of operations, as the new vice president of operations for the company.

McKone has 45 years of experience with McDonald’s and has been with the Costa Enterprises team for the last 10 years. He started his career with the McDonald’s corporation as a crew person at 16 years old to pay his way through Catholic high school.

McKone rose through the ranks serving as an hourly manager, assistant manager, and then general manager. He also later served as an area supervisor, training consultant, field service business consultant, training manager, field service manager and “McOpCo” operations manager before retiring and moving to Northwest Florida.

After working as the director of operations at Costa Enterprises for the last decade, the company decided to promote McKone into the new role so he could pass along his knowledge and leadership skills to over 1,000 employees across the 24 Costa McDonald’s locations throughout the state of Florida.  His new job as vice president of operations will include overseeing all aspects of business that impact the company as a whole, including operations, finances, customers, employees, maintenance, and marketing.

McKone says his favorite part of working for the Costa family and McDonald’s is the people. He enjoys seeing them develop over time, growing in their positions, learning new things within the company, and in some small way helping them to become the best versions of themselves.

“I hope to successfully lead us out of 2020 and into 2021 and beyond,” McKone said. “In this new role I will work to assist everyone here at Costa Enterprises to achieve the success and greatness they all desire and deserve.”

“Kevin was promoted because he exhibits the skills that we were looking for to lead our company and bring us to the next level,” said owner/operator, David Costa Jr. “Kevin has been able to effectively deliver results while maintaining high customer standards as he leads our employees with his expertise by putting the customer first.
